Who we are
About
Football, well-told. Cornerflick is a young, independent publication built around the 2026 World Cup and the global game.
Our story
Cornerflick started the way most good football arguments do — in a group chat that wouldn’t quit. A few of us, spread across a few cities, tired of coverage that read like an endless feed and forgot the story by the next refresh. So we started building the thing we actually wanted: a place where every team, player, stadium and match gets a proper page.
We’re young and independent, and we’re not pretending otherwise. No decades-old masthead, no wire-copy factory — just a small crew of football obsessives who watch closely, write carefully and would rather explain the game than chase the next rumour. The 2026 World Cup is our first big one, and we’re covering it like it’s the only thing that matters, because to us it mostly is.
Everything we publish is written by a real person whose name you can click. We hold ourselves to a plain set of standards — including owning our mistakes when we make them.
