Monarcas vs Tlaxcala 1-1

Monarcas drew 1-1 with Tlaxcala after E. Robles converted a penalty in the 89th minute to cancel out the home side's early lead. D. Zamora had put Monarcas in front in the 7th minute, but Tlaxcala found a late equaliser from the spot.

Monarcas made the brighter start and went ahead when D. Zamora scored in the 7th minute from D. Aguilar's assist, making it 1-0. That remained the score at half-time after Tlaxcala had already picked up cautions for J. Freyfeld on 9 minutes, M. Ramirez on 30 minutes and B. Flores on 39 minutes, before P. Gonzalez was sent off in the 41st minute.

The second half brought a stop-start spell rather than another goal from open play. Monarcas' D. Zamora was booked on 46 minutes and D. Aguilar on 54 minutes, while the hosts made three changes between 59 and 70 minutes, including M. Nambo for A. Flores, J. Martinez for E. Castellanos and M. Dominguez for V. Lopez. Tlaxcala made two changes on 70 minutes and two more on 80 minutes before Robles levelled from the penalty spot on 89 minutes, and Monarcas then made two late changes in stoppage time.

The data provided no possession, passing, shots, corners, fouls, offsides, saves or expected goals figures, so the match is reflected mainly through the scoreline and timeline. Each side scored once, and the penalty for Tlaxcala was the decisive late action after Monarcas had led for most of the match.

J. Freyfeld, M. Ramirez, B. Flores and M. A. Trejo Castro were booked for Tlaxcala, with P. Gonzalez sent off in the 41st minute. Monarcas had three yellow cards, for J. Martinez in first-half stoppage time, D. Zamora on 46 minutes and D. Aguilar on 54 minutes.
