Sochaux vs Boulogne 1-1

Sochaux and Boulogne drew 1-1 at Stade Bonal after Abdel Hbouch's second-half equaliser cancelled out Benjamin Gomel's early opener. Sochaux led for most of the match, and Boulogne levelled in the 75th minute before seeing out the closing stages.

Sochaux struck in the 8th minute when Benjamin Gomel scored from Kapitbafan Djoco's assist to make it 1-0. That was the only goal before the break, and Sochaux went in 1-0 up at half-time.

Boulogne found the leveller in the 75th minute, when Abdel Hbouch converted Aurelien Platret's assist to make it 1-1. Platret had come on in the 65th minute, while Sochaux had already made three changes on 68 minutes and then sent on Saad Agouzoul in the 78th minute and Boubacar Fofana in the 84th. Boulogne also made two changes together on 87 minutes before adding two more late on, and the final stages were spent protecting a point rather than forcing a winner.

The numbers pointed to a tight contest. Boulogne had 54% of the possession to Sochaux's 46%, but Sochaux had more shots, 10 to 9, more corners, 8 to 4, and a slight edge in passes with 403 to 397. Both teams had 3 shots on target and 2 saves, while Boulogne posted the better expected goals figure at 1.24 to 0.81. Fouls finished 16-23 and offsides 2-3.

Julien Masson was booked for Sochaux in the 40th minute. Boulogne's Demba Thiam saw yellow on 46 minutes, and Adrien Pinot was booked three minutes into stoppage time. There were no red cards.
