Julián Álvarez said Argentina went through a stressful night before completing a memorable comeback against Egypt.
The Argentina forward said the game became very difficult after Egypt went 2-0 up and admitted the squad felt the pressure. He added that the backing from Argentina supporters helped lift the team back into the match.
Álvarez also said he was happy with his own performance and hoped to continue helping the side in future games.
On captain Lionel Messi, he was even more emphatic. Álvarez called Messi a legend, thanked him for everything he does for the team and said the players are ready to do anything for him. He described Messi as the best player in football history.
