Rubén Amorim has made a strong start at Milan, becoming only the third coach in the club's history to go unbeaten in his first seven Serie A matches.
Seven games without defeat
Milan beat Atalanta 3-2 on Sunday night to extend Amorim's unbeaten run to seven league matches. The club have taken 15 points from those games, with four wins and three draws, and sit fourth in Serie A.
The win was far from comfortable. Milan were under pressure late on as Atalanta pushed for an equaliser, but they held on to claim three points.
A record shared with two predecessors
Before Amorim, Héctor Puricelli in 1955 and Luis Carniglia in 1963 were the only Milan coaches to avoid defeat in their first seven league matches. Puricelli's run ended with three wins and four draws, while Carniglia matched Amorim's four wins and three draws.
Amorim took charge of Milan in the summer of 2026 after leaving Manchester United. His early results have put Milan among the unbeaten teams in the current season.
