Anfield Stadium: A nightmare for visiting teams.

Liverpool's Anfield has produced the lowest away win rate of any Premier League stadium, according to Opta figures published on 9 October 2026.

The Anfield record

Across 654 Premier League matches at Anfield, visiting sides have won only 82 times, leaving away teams with a win rate of 12.5 per cent. That puts Liverpool's ground ahead of every other stadium in the competition's history.

Old Trafford is close behind. Manchester United's home has also staged 654 Premier League matches, but away teams have won there 84 times, for a 12.8 per cent success rate.

The rest of the top six

Arsenal's Emirates Stadium ranks third on 13.1 per cent from 382 matches and 50 away wins. Chelsea's Stamford Bridge is next, with 98 away wins in 654 matches and a 15 per cent rate.

Manchester City's Etihad Stadium completes the group listed in the Opta data, with 68 away wins from 440 matches and a 15.5 per cent rate. The figures place Anfield at the top of the list of hardest Premier League grounds for visiting teams.
