Argentina will wear a special shirt for Lionel Messi's final official match in the national team colours on Tuesday against Benin at the Monumental Stadium.
The shirt design
According to The Sporting News, the kit moves away from Argentina's usual thin stripes and uses a wider pattern. The blue and white sections also include sun motifs inspired by the emblem at the centre of Argentina's flag.
Adidas has replaced its logo with an 'M' for Messi on the shirt, finished in gold to match his number 10. Messi is also set to wear custom white and blue boots for the match.
A tribute in Rosario
Adidas previously unveiled the shirt through a 30-metre art installation in Rosario, Messi's hometown. The match will be Messi's last official outing in the Albiceleste shirt, closing another chapter in a career closely tied to Argentina's blue and white colours.
