New deal signed
Mikel Arteta has extended his contract with Arsenal until 2030. The 44-year-old has led the club since December 2019 and has now committed to several more years in north London.
His record at Arsenal
Arteta said Arsenal is a unique club and that it is a great honour to stay for a few more years. He added that the trophies already won are only the start of what the team can achieve together.
During his spell, Arsenal have won the Premier League and the FA Cup. They also lost to Paris Saint-Germain in the 2026 Champions League final in May.
Arteta guided Arsenal to the 2025-26 Premier League title after a 22-year wait. The crown was sealed when Manchester City lost to Bournemouth, and it was Arsenal's first league title since the 2003-04 season.
