Barcelona announce new Google partnership for fans

Barcelona have launched a new partnership with Google that will put Gemini and Pixel at the centre of its fan-facing digital plans.

What the deal covers

Gemini will serve as the club's official consumer AI partner, while Google Pixel becomes Barcelona's official mobile partner. The agreement covers both the men's and women's first teams.

Barcelona say the aim is to make the supporter experience more personal and interactive, whether fans are at the stadium or following from home. A key part of the project will use Gemini to provide match-related analysis and help supporters understand tactics and events on the pitch.

The AI tool will also be used to create fan content, chants and recreations of big moments and goal celebrations at Spotify Camp Nou. Pixel devices will be used to produce exclusive content from the day-to-day life of the men's and women's squads, while also offering fans ways to personalise their phones with the club's visual identity.

Club and Google reaction

Esther Marinas, Google's marketing director, said the partnership combines Pixel hardware with Gemini's features to redraw what sports partnerships can look like.

Barcelona global sponsorship director Marc Bruix described it as a pioneering deal linking advanced technology with football support. The club hopes the agreement will expand its digital approach to fan engagement.
