Bayern Munich have officially signed Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven, with the Morocco international agreeing a contract until June 2031. The 34-shirt, a number he chose in memory of his friend Abdelhak Nouri, will be his at the Allianz Arena.
A key PSV player
Saibari leaves PSV after several strong seasons in which he became an important part of the side. The attacking midfielder can play in several positions across midfield and attack, and he helped PSV win the Eredivisie title.
In his final season in the Netherlands, he was also named Dutch Footballer of the Year.
Morocco form caught Bayern’s eye
Saibari’s displays for Morocco added to his reputation. At the 2026 World Cup, he scored against Brazil and Scotland, then hit the decisive goal against Haiti.
Bayern’s hierarchy see him as a multi-purpose, high-energy attacking player who can add more threat and variety to Vincent Kompany’s front line. Kompany also played a significant role in persuading Saibari to choose Bayern over other options.
