Patrick Beach has moved to the top of Marca’s World Cup 2026 player rankings after a standout display in Australia’s 2-0 win over Turkey.
The Australia goalkeeper made eight saves and kept a clean sheet as his side pulled off one of the early shocks of the tournament against one of the competition’s contenders.
Marca’s latest table gives Beach a score of 9.0, enough to move him above Mexico striker Raul Jimenez. Jimenez had been top after scoring in Mexico’s opening match against South Africa, with a rating of 8.78.
The result puts Australia in a strong early position and has raised hopes inside the camp that they can push towards the later rounds of the tournament.
