Canada beat Qatar 6-0 in their second World Cup group match after a heated contest that ended with two Qatar red cards.
Canada led 2-0 after goals in the 16th and 29th minutes, then extended the advantage to 3-0 before half-time.
The first dismissal came when Homam Al-Amin was sent off for a late tackle from behind on a Canada player just outside the penalty area.
The game took another ugly turn in the second half when Asim Madibo was shown a red card for a heavy challenge on Ismaël Koné in the 51st minute. Koné suffered a broken leg and was taken to hospital, prompting a long stoppage and angry reactions from the Canada bench and players.
Canada went on to score three more times against the nine-man side.
