Casemiro has eased concerns over an injury scare after coming off during Brazil's draw with Japan, saying the issue was only a muscle spasm and groin pain.
The 34-year-old, who headed in Brazil's equaliser, told reporters in the mixed zone after the match that he was fine and that the problem was not serious. He had been replaced by Fabinho in the second half after feeling pain in his leg.
Casemiro also admitted he had a quiet first half and said his inclusion after the break was a surprise to some. Carlo Ancelotti's call paid off, though, as the midfielder scored from Gabriel Magalhães' delivery.
He described the match as a mental battle, praising Brazil's patience against Japan's compact defensive block. Casemiro also highlighted the strength of Brazil's squad depth, pointing to the impact of Endrick, Gabriel Martinelli, Ryan and Fabinho from the bench.
