Champions League winners could earn close to €110m

UEFA will hand out close to €2.4 billion across the 2026-27 Champions League, pushing the winner’s total earnings towards €110 million.

Base payments set the floor

Each of the 36 clubs in the league phase will receive a fixed €18 million entry payment, according to the official UEFA documents cited in the source. Clubs that miss out in the summer play-offs and drop into the Europa League will get €4.2 million instead.

UEFA has also set performance bonuses for the league phase. A win is worth €2.1 million, while a draw brings in €700,000.

Knockout and value money add up

The rewards rise sharply in the knockout rounds: €11 million for reaching the round of 16, €12.5 million for the quarter-finals, €15 million for the semi-finals and €18.5 million for reaching the final. The trophy itself carries an extra €6.5 million.

UEFA will also share €853 million through the so-called value pillar, which is based on each club’s domestic TV market share and its 10-year European performance ranking.

The source says the Europa League’s total financial pot is €565 million, less than a quarter of the Champions League fund.
