Chelsea unwilling to consider Pedro Neto sale

Chelsea have no intention of selling Pedro Neto unless a very large bid arrives, with the winger under contract until 2031.

Chelsea’s stance

According to the Daily Mail, several clubs are watching Neto closely as the transfer window enters its final weeks. Manchester City, Liverpool and a number of wealthy Saudi clubs are among those monitoring the Portuguese winger.

Chelsea, though, have made their position clear. Club officials are prepared to discuss a deal only if they receive an exceptional proposal, well above the fee they paid to sign him.

Why Chelsea are relaxed

The long contract gives Chelsea no pressure to sell, and they view Neto as an important part of the club’s long-term project. He is also understood to have a prominent role in plans for the new season.

Those close to Chelsea believe his value has risen since his move to Stamford Bridge, helped by his useful attacking versatility and his age. A routine offer is not expected to change the club’s mind.
