Manchester City and Barcelona have made the cleanest starts in Europe’s top five leagues, with both sides winning every league match they have played this season.
City set early Premier League pace
Manchester City have won all six of their opening Premier League fixtures. The run gives Enzo Maresca’s side a 100% record and has kept them off the back foot in the early table.
The source says City have taken six wins from six. In a league as tight as the Premier League, that kind of run can shape the opening weeks of the standings.
Barcelona match that record in La Liga
Barcelona have done the same in La Liga, winning their first eight matches and also keeping a perfect record intact.
Hansi Flick’s side have not dropped a point in any of those games. Eight straight wins have given Barcelona maximum returns from the first run of fixtures and a strong opening to the campaign.
