Czech Republic face Mexico in final Group A test

The Czech Republic meet Mexico in the final Group A match of the 2026 World Cup, with the Europeans needing points to stay in the race for the knockout stage.

Kick-off is scheduled for 04:30 on 4 July 2026. Mexico have already secured first place in the group, but the Czech Republic still have work to do after taking only one point from their first two games.

Mexico opened with a 2-0 win over South Africa and followed it by beating South Korea 1-0, leaving them on six points at the top of the standings.

The Czech Republic started with a 2-1 defeat to South Korea before drawing 1-1 with South Africa, which left their qualification hopes hanging on the final round. Other Group A results could also shape their path, but a positive result against Mexico is now essential if they are to keep that route open.
