Zlatko Dalic has said Croatia are fully prepared for England’s threat from set pieces ahead of their meeting with Thomas Tuchel’s side.
The Croatia head coach said both teams know plenty about each other after detailed analysis, and described England as dangerous across the pitch. He picked out Harry Kane as one of the world’s top forwards, saying the striker can influence games in several ways.
Dalic also said he expects a high-level match and called it a significant moment for Croatia. He added that his team cannot live on past achievements, stressing that this is a new competition and a fresh World Cup campaign in which they want to do well.
The Croatia coach also underlined Luka Modric’s importance, saying the captain matters to him both as a leader and as a person. Dalic described Modric as his right hand on the pitch and said he and the squad are pleased to have him involved.
