Egypt moved to the top of Group G after a 3-1 comeback win over New Zealand at the 2026 World Cup.
New Zealand struck first in the 15th minute when Tim Payne's corner was headed in by advancing defender Finn Surman. Egypt responded after the break, with Mostafa Zico levelling in the 58th minute before Mohamed Salah put them ahead nine minutes later.
Egypt sealed the points in the 82nd minute when Salah's corner was met by Mahmoud Trezeguet's header for the third goal.
The result leaves Egypt on four points at the top of the group. Iran sit second on two points, level with Belgium in third, while New Zealand are bottom on one point.
In the other Group G match, Iran and Belgium drew 0-0. Egypt will face Iran in the final round of group fixtures, while Belgium meet New Zealand. Both matches will be played at the same time.
Emirati referee Omar Mohammed Al Ali booked Egypt's Mohamed Lasheen, along with New Zealand's Sarpreet Singh and Callum McCowatt.
