France are back at the top of the live FIFA rankings after beating Sweden heavily at the 2026 World Cup.
Didier Deschamps' side added 9.4 points to reach 1916.24, moving above Argentina, who sit second on 1907.4. France had slipped to third after a 2-1 defeat by Ivory Coast, but the latest result sends them back to number one.
Brazil remain fifth on 1804.92 points, with Spain third on 1879.58 and England fourth on 1840.46.
The rest of the current top 10 is Morocco in sixth, the Netherlands in seventh, Portugal in eighth, Mexico in ninth and Belgium in tenth.
Argentina face Cape Verde next, but the live ranking system means that result is not expected to change France's position at the top.
