Galatasaray have reportedly made a bid worth about €45 million for Gabriel Martinelli, with the Arsenal winger now one of their main summer targets.
Arsenal winger emerges as Galatasaray target
The Turkey champions had initially looked at Rafael Leão of Milan, but those talks became difficult and Martinelli moved up their list. Reports shared by sources close to the transfer market, including Florian Plettenberg, say Galatasaray believe the Brazil international would fit their attacking style quickly.
Martinelli has been at Arsenal since 2019 and has remained an important part of Mikel Arteta’s squad. His pace, dribbling and ability to drive in from the left have made him a key attacking option, although stronger competition for places has complicated his recent situation.
Arsenal stance remains cautious
A move to Istanbul is not close to being done. Arsenal do not want to lose Martinelli without bringing in a proper replacement, and reports say any sale would only be considered if the club can sign a strong alternative for the left side.
