Haaland: The match against Brazil is special and extraordinary

Erling Haaland has paid tribute to Brazil before Norway’s World Cup last-16 meeting with the South American side in 2026.

Speaking to Brazilian journalist Fred Caldeira, who has worked with TNT Sports, Haaland said Brazil is a team he has admired since childhood. He described the fixture as special and said it will be a pleasure to face a squad full of outstanding players.

Haaland also spoke warmly about the country itself, calling Brazil beautiful and amazing. Asked for a message for Brazilian fans, he answered in Portuguese: “I love Brazil.”
