PSG beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the European Super Cup to lift the trophy for a second straight year, and Luis Enrique added another major honour to his record.
Enrique climbs the Super Cup list
The PSG head coach has now won the competition three times, after previous triumphs with Barcelona in 2015 and PSG in 2025. He remains behind Carlo Ancelotti, who has five Super Cup wins, and Pep Guardiola, who has four.
Champions League success keeps growing
Enrique’s stronger claim in European football comes from the Champions League, where he has three titles: Barcelona in 2015 and PSG in 2025 and 2026. That puts him alongside names such as Guardiola, Zinedine Zidane and Bob Paisley among the competition’s most successful coaches.
PSG’s latest win also extends Enrique’s influence at the club. He has now overseen their first Champions League title and back-to-back Super Cup victories, strengthening his place in PSG’s history.
