Manchester City have reached a full agreement with Lille for Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the 18-year-old midfielder now close to a move to the Etihad.
Deal details
According to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC via فوتبالی, the clubs have settled the final terms and City will pay Lille a total of €100 million including bonuses. City had already agreed personal terms with Bouaddi, leaving Lille's approval as the last major hurdle.
Bouaddi is not expected to feature for Lille against Angers on Sunday, 23 August, in the opening round of Ligue 1, after the talks moved to a final stage.
City's midfield rebuild
City have made midfield strengthening a priority in the closing days of the window, after Rodri left for Barcelona, and Bouaddi has long been one of their main targets. The Morocco international has established himself in Lille's side despite his age, with his passing, ball control and ability to manage the tempo drawing City's attention.
If the move is completed and announced, Bouaddi would join Elliot Anderson as part of a new midfield pairing, with City hoping the two can help fill the gap left by Rodri in the centre of the pitch.
