Scotland beat Haiti 1-0 in their second Group C match at the 2026 World Cup in Boston.
John McGinn scored the only goal in the 29th minute, collecting a loose ball outside the box after Haiti’s defenders failed to clear their lines. His effort then took a touch off a defender and found the net.
Both sides started with intent, but the game lost its tempo after the interval. Haiti and Scotland offered little going forward in the second half, and the first-half goal remained the difference at the final whistle.
Algerian referee Mustapha Ghorbal took charge of the match and booked Haiti’s Belgrad and Scotland’s Hickey.
