Milan have emerged as a possible destination for Ruben Dias, with Italian reports saying the club are weighing a move for the Manchester City defender before the transfer window shuts.
Milan's defensive target
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Dias has climbed into Milan's list of main targets as the Rossoneri look for a centre-back who can build from deep and handle a high press. The 29-year-old Portugal international is being viewed as a leader who could organise the back line.
Milan have already used Jorge Mendes' network this summer, bringing in players including Gonçalo Ramos and Diego Moreira, and the club's Portuguese core has grown under Ruben Amorim.
Deal would be difficult
Gazzetta says City have Dias on their list of players who could move on, but the transfer looks complicated. Reports place his value at around €60m to €65m, while his net annual salary is close to €8m.
Some reports have mentioned a possible swap involving Rafael Leão, but that is described as unlikely. With limited time left in the summer window and several financial obstacles, Milan must decide whether to push on or turn to other options.
