Manuel Neuer marked the opening whistle of the new Bundesliga season by reaching two personal milestones at once: his 600th official appearance for Bayern Munich and the start of his 21st campaign in the league.
Neuer's latest Bayern landmarks
The 40-year-old started for Bayern in the season opener against Stuttgart and added the double landmark from the first second of the match.
Neuer joined Bayern from Schalke 04 in 2011 and has since become one of the club's defining figures. During his time in Munich, he has won multiple Bundesliga titles and domestic cups, and lifted the Champions League twice.
His long run of appearances adds another entry to a career that already stands out for longevity and silverware, with no sign in the source material of any immediate end to his Bayern spell.
