Neymar did not take part in Brazil's last training session before the Morocco game, leaving his return in serious doubt.
The veteran forward was absent from the pitch at the Red Bull training centre in New York on Friday and continued with individual work indoors. Brazil's coaching staff used the session to finalise details for the opening match, but Neymar did not join the group at any point.
Only the first 15 minutes were open to the media, with cameras seeing the warm-up and some brief discussions involving staff and players such as Endrick and Luis Henrique.
Carlo Ancelotti had said earlier in the week that Neymar might begin a return to field training during the week, but that plan did not materialise.
As a result, his chances of facing Haiti in Brazil's second group game on 19 June are also fading. Brazilian media have gone further, suggesting he could miss the third and final match in the group as well.
