Aiden O'Neill says Australia have prepared for every scenario before their World Cup last-16 meeting with Egypt, including a penalty shoot-out.
The midfielder said the squad have worked on spot-kicks in training and would be ready if the match reaches that stage. He also praised the stadium, calling it excellent after the team visited it, and highlighted the air conditioning as a major plus.
O'Neill said the tournament has put him and his team-mates up against top-level opponents and that he is trying to enjoy the challenge and produce his best form. He added that Egypt carry a strong attacking threat, but said Australia's main focus will be on their own performance and sticking to their usual style.
He ended by pointing to Australia's ability to adapt to different situations as a key strength, while also backing the value of the coaching staff's international experience.
