Premier League leads clubs sending players to World Cup

England’s top flight has 200 players at the 2026 finals, with Saudi Arabia’s league sixth on the list.

The Premier League will have more players at the 2026 World Cup than any other league, with 200 represented across the tournament.

Germany’s Bundesliga is next on 109, followed by La Liga and Ligue 1 on 86 each. Serie A rounds out the top five with 71.

Saudi Arabia’s league is the surprise entry in sixth place. The Saudi Pro League has 48 players at the finals, while one player from the country’s second division also made the cut.

Turkey’s Super Lig has 45 players at the World Cup, Major League Soccer has 42 and the Eredivisie has 38.

Among Asian clubs, Al Hilal supply the most players, with 12 in the tournament.
