Wayne Rooney believes England and Spain will meet in the 2026 World Cup final, while also naming France among the main challengers for the trophy.
The former England and Manchester United forward said the three sides stand out above the rest as the tournament gets under way.
"I think Spain, France and England should be considered among the main contenders. It is likely one of those teams will win it. I think England and Spain will reach the final, and of course I hope England lift the trophy in the end," Rooney said.
Rooney's view puts England, Spain and France at the front of the early conversation over who can go all the way.
