Sky Sports’ supercomputer has tipped Arsenal to defend their Premier League crown in 2026/27 after running 10,000 season simulations.
Title race forecast
The model, which factored in last season’s results, summer transfer activity and bookmaker odds, gave Arsenal a 50.6% chance of winning the league and an average points haul of 85.2. Manchester City were second on 27.5%, with Sky Sports expecting them to remain Arsenal’s main challengers even after Pep Guardiola’s departure.
Liverpool, under Andoni Iraola, were projected to finish third, while Michael Carrick’s Manchester United were placed fourth. Chelsea, now managed by Xabi Alonso, were forecast fifth and Tottenham sixth.
Relegation picture
At the other end of the table, the three promoted clubs were all rated at risk. Hull City, Ipswich Town and Coventry City were the teams most likely to drop back into the Championship, according to the simulation.
