Tunisia have agreed a deal with Hervé Renard to become head coach, according to the country’s state television.
The report, citing Tunisian Football Federation president Wajih Nasseri, said Renard will take charge for the rest of Tunisia’s 2026 World Cup campaign. He is expected to arrive in Monterrey on Tuesday evening and hold his first training session with the squad shortly after.
Renard will replace Jalel Kadri, who left after Tunisia's 5-1 defeat by Sweden in their opening group match. That result dealt a major blow to Tunisia's hopes in the tournament.
Tunisia are now preparing for their second Group F fixture against Japan.
