Morocco Head Coach: We deserved to win this match

Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi said his side still need to improve after they beat Haiti 4-2 to seal progress to the 2026 World Cup knockout rounds.

Ouahbi said the result mattered most, but pointed to wastefulness in front of goal as a problem that still needs fixing.

"It doesn't matter who our next opponent is, our work continues," he said. "We still miss a lot of chances and that must be addressed."

He also referred to his half-time message to the players, saying he asked for more focus in the dressing room. He described the win as fully deserved and said the team had worked hard for it.

Morocco finished second in Group C on seven points, behind Brazil on goal difference. Mohamed Ouahbi said missing out on top spot was not a major issue, adding that the important thing was to win and advance.

The victory took Morocco through the group stage for the third time in their World Cup history.
