Arsène Wenger has backed France to win the 2026 World Cup.
The former Arsenal manager was asked who he expects to lift the trophy and named France as his pick.
France have reached the final in each of the last two World Cups. They won one and lost the other on penalties against Argentina.
There is also added weight on Didier Deschamps’ last tournament as France head coach, with supporters hoping for a third straight final appearance. That will not be straightforward, but Wenger still believes France can go all the way.
