Lamine Yamal said he is in no hurry to win the Ballon d'Or after finishing third in the 2026 vote in London on Monday.

Harry Kane won the award, with Kylian Mbappe second and Yamal third. The Barcelona forward also collected the young player award for the third year running, a record noted after the ceremony.
Yamal posted on Instagram that good things take time and that he trusts the path he is building, “without rushing, with desire and calm”. He added that his focus is back on helping Barcelona win again.
His latest post pointed instead towards the team target he has set at Barcelona.
