Sanat Naft vs Aluminium Arak 2-1

Sanat Naft took the points at Takhti Stadium in Abadan, beating Aluminium Arak 2-1 after leading from the 17th minute and holding on when the visitors pulled one back late on.

A. Taheran opened the scoring in the 17th minute from K. Zebarjad's assist, and Sanat Naft went in 1-0 ahead at half-time.

M. Fallah made it 2-0 on 56 minutes without an assist, and Aluminium Arak responded through A. Nouri in the 82nd minute to leave the score at 2-1. Aluminium Arak had already made two changes at 61 minutes, with M. Mousavi and R. Jabireh both coming on, and later used A. Latifi, S. Sadeghi and E. Khodadadian as Sanat Naft saw out the result, with M. Baseri replacing T. Rikani on 70 minutes and S. Mehrabizadeh coming on for M. Fallah three minutes into stoppage time.

The numbers pointed to a tighter contest than the scoreline first suggested. Sanat Naft had 2 goals to Aluminium Arak's 1, while the timeline showed one late reply after the home side had built a two-goal lead. Discipline shaped the closing stages, too, with Sanat Naft booked three times and Aluminium Arak once before A. Houshmand was sent off in the 84th minute.

Sanat Naft's bookings went to K. Zebarjad in the 39th minute, A. Taheran in the 60th and M. Karimzadeh in the 65th minute. Aluminium Arak's A. Houshmand was booked in the 66th minute and then shown a red card in the 84th minute.
