Al Wakrah vs Al Shahaniya 0-3

Al Shahaniya came from a goal down to win 2-1 at Saoud bin Abdulrahman Stadium, with Abdoulaye Traore's stoppage-time strike deciding it after Al Wakrah had led at half-time.

The only first-half goal came three minutes into stoppage time, when Omair Abdulla turned the ball into his own net and gave Al Wakrah a 1-0 lead. Al Wakrah then made two changes on 45 minutes, replacing Rabh Boussafi with Nasser Al-Yazidi and Omair Abdulla with Mohamed Al-Bakri, before the break.

Al Shahaniya equalised in the 76th minute through Álvaro Sanz Catalán, from Mohamed Abdelfatah Surag's assist. The visitors then pushed on with two changes in the 82nd minute, sending on Mohamed Sayyar and Amenallah Meherzi. Meherzi made an immediate impact, as Abdoulaye Traore scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time from his pass to turn the game around at 2-1. VAR then confirmed Traore's goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time. Al Wakrah had more of the ball for long spells, but could not make that count after the interval.

Al Wakrah had 59% possession and 443 passes to Al Shahaniya's 41% and 306, while they also won 14 corners to four and committed 15 fouls to seven. Al Shahaniya finished with the higher expected goals figure, 1.68 to 1.24, and left with the result.

There were three bookings and no red cards. Al Wakrah's Ayoub Assal was booked in the 33rd minute, while Al Shahaniya's Francesco Antonucci was cautioned in the 67th minute and Álvaro Sanz Catalán in the 90+2 minute.
