Javier Aguirre said he had no complaints after Mexico lost 3-2 to England and exited the 2026 World Cup at the last-16 stage.
The Mexico head coach told his post-match press conference that his players had put everything on the pitch and that England were a major side. He added that Mexico had done all they could.
Mexico stayed on England’s heels until the final whistle and kept pushing for a way back into the tie, but the comeback never came. A strong display and loud home support were not enough to turn the result.
England moved into the quarter-finals after coming through one of their hardest games of the tournament. Mexico, despite a performance that drew credit, were left with an early exit.
