Massimiliano Allegri has been given a two-match touchline ban after Italy's football disciplinary committee ruled on comments he made during Napoli's draw with Roma.
What the ban means
The Napoli head coach will miss the away match at Monza and next Sunday’s game against Juventus, where he must watch from the stands. The sanction follows remarks the committee said were directed at the match officials during the Serie A meeting with the Giallorossi.
Napoli plan to appeal
In a statement, Napoli said they would challenge the two-match suspension after requesting access to the case file.
Allegri was sent off in the closing minutes of a tense game at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Napoli and Roma drew 3-3, with Napoli leading before Roma came back to level the match.
