Carlo Ancelotti has told Brazil to expect a difficult World Cup meeting with Scotland in Miami on Wednesday and has warned against reading too much into the fixture history between the sides.
Brazil have never lost to Scotland in four previous World Cup meetings, but Ancelotti said that record counts for little ahead of the Group C game. He described Scotland as organised, combative and well supplied with experienced players, naming Scott McTominay and John McGinn among them.
"This game will be difficult," Ancelotti said. "Scotland are a quality team, the players are fighters and they are well organised."
The match may also bring Neymar's first appearance of the tournament. The forward has missed Brazil's games so far with a calf injury, but Ancelotti said he trained fully this week and is available.
Raphinha will miss out after a hamstring injury in Brazil's 3-0 win over Haiti. Ancelotti did not reveal who will replace him, with Ryan, Endrick and Igor Thiago among the options.
