Christian Kofane has become a transfer target for Arsenal and Manchester United after talks over a new Bayer Leverkusen contract failed to make progress, according to Sky Germany. The 20-year-old Cameroon striker is under contract until 2029, and Leverkusen want to extend that deal to 2031 and improve his salary.
Premier League interest grows
Sky says Kofane wants a move to the Premier League and that English interest could shape his decision. Arsenal have monitored him for some time, while United have more recently joined the list of clubs following him.
Newcastle, Aston Villa and Everton have also previously been linked with the forward. Kofane joined Leverkusen from Albacete in the summer of 2025 and quickly made an impression in German football.
Leverkusen may demand a high fee
Leverkusen were said to value him at about €60 million to €70 million last summer, which would make any deal difficult. No agreement over a departure has been reached, and a move to Arsenal or United is not close at this stage.
