Anfield landmark for Arsenal
Arsenal's 1-0 win at Anfield on the ninth matchday of the Premier League gave them a place in the competition's record book. Kai Havertz scored the only goal in the 16th minute as Mikel Arteta's side ended a 14-year wait for a league victory in that stadium.
The result took Arsenal to 300 Premier League away wins since the competition began in 1992. That makes them only the second club to reach the mark, after Manchester United.
Where the numbers stand
United lead the all-time away wins table with 328, while Arsenal now sit second on 300. Chelsea follow on 293, Liverpool on 282 and Manchester City on 238.
Arsenal had not won at Anfield in 13 straight Premier League matches before this trip. Their last league victory there came in September 2012, and this one arrived through a controlled display and a disciplined defence.
