Rodri officially announced his move to Barcelona

Manchester City have accepted Barcelona's third offer for Rodri, who has now confirmed his move to the Catalan club.

The experienced Spanish midfielder said joining Barcelona had fulfilled a personal dream, and added that he is now in the city. He also spoke of wanting to work hard, give his best and help the squad across all competitions.

Rodri said: "I am fulfilling my dream by playing for Barcelona. It was my dream and it has come true."

He added: "We will strive for the Champions League and everything else. Now is the time to work and give my best performance. I am very happy to be here and looking forward to working with my team-mates and giving my best effort."

City exit after trophy run

Rodri leaves City after several years of success and multiple trophies with the club. The Spain international also arrives off the back of a World Cup win with Spain, where he was named the tournament's best player.
