Barcelona have put Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Willian Pacho on their transfer shortlist as they look to strengthen defence in the winter window.
What the reports say
The claim first appeared on RugeTV and was then carried by several European outlets. Those reports say Barcelona see the Ecuador defender as a fit alongside Pau Cubarsí, with talk of a possible offer in the region of €80 million.
Pacho also drew attention from Barcelona's sporting staff during PSG's recent Champions League meeting with the Catalan club, according to the same reports.
Why the deal looks difficult
PSG extended Pacho's contract in September 2026 until June 2031. The club said he had made 105 appearances before that extension.
The €80 million figure has not been confirmed as an official Barcelona bid. Other reports have treated it as an estimated valuation and said no formal talks or agreement between the clubs has been announced.
Pacho joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in summer 2024 and quickly became part of their first-choice defensive group. If Barcelona do move in January, PSG are likely to make the deal hard to complete.
