Barcelona face PSG, Real Madrid in five-day October run

Barcelona face a demanding five-day stretch in October, with trips to Paris Saint-Germain and then Real Madrid at home. The club’s run of fixtures puts Hansi Flick’s side under immediate pressure in both the Champions League and La Liga.

PSG first, then El Clásico

According to the official schedule, Barcelona visit PSG on 20 October at the Parc des Princes. UEFA has set kick-off for 21:00 Central European Time. The meeting pairs the Champions League holders with Barcelona in one of the headline league-phase fixtures.

Five days later, on 25 October, Barcelona host Real Madrid in El Clásico at Camp Nou. Barcelona’s official website has listed the game as the week 10 league fixture, and it arrives straight after the trip to Paris.

A sharp test for Flick

The timing makes squad management a key issue for Flick. Players including Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Pedri and Fermín López are likely to play major roles in both matches, with little recovery time between them.

PSG should offer Barcelona a serious test before El Clásico, especially away from home. The two fixtures could shape the tone of Barcelona’s season early in the campaign.
