Barcelona have matched a near-century club scoring mark after reaching 60 goals in their first 15 official matches of the 2026-27 season.
Fast start in Europe and Spain
The latest return came in a 3-0 win over Aston Villa, with Lamine Yamal scoring in the seventh minute and Raphinha adding two second-half goals. The result also ended Barcelona's run of 19 Champions League matches without a clean sheet.
Barcelona are averaging four goals a game. The last time the club opened a season with this scoring rate was 1926-27, when they netted 69 times in their first 15 matches.
Flick's attack driving the numbers
That team featured Josep Samitier and Paulino Alcántara. Flick's side have leaned on the finishing of Yamal and Raphinha, with their pressing, quick passing and rapid transitions central to the start.
The challenge now is to sustain that output as La Liga and the Champions League intensify later in the season.
