Jude Bellingham said England’s character and persistence carried them past Norway after a 2-1 win sent Thomas Tuchel’s side into the 2026 World Cup semi-finals.
The England midfielder, named player of the match, described the performance as an English masterpiece of a different sort. He said it was not one of those games where England created countless chances, but one decided by fight and spirit.
"I’m proud of the team and what it gave," Bellingham said. "People say we didn’t play our best, but they don’t understand how hard these games are. The heat and humidity in Miami were unbelievable; we were dying."
Bellingham also spoke about his second goal, which secured the place in the last four. He told Morgan Rogers to keep going before the move, and said he knew it would make an impact. He added that Norway goalkeeper reacted well, but he was fortunate to be in the right place after a moment of bad luck for the keeper.
