Bellingham named England men’s player of the year again

Jude Bellingham has been named England men’s player of the year for a second straight season after another strong year for the national side.

The Real Madrid midfielder topped the England supporters’ vote for the 2025-26 campaign. He made 12 appearances for the Three Lions across the season, started nine of them, and finished with seven goals and one assist.

Bellingham’s form at the 2026 World Cup also helped him to the award. He scored seven times at the tournament, matching the England record for most goals by a player in a single World Cup finals.

Second straight win

The 23-year-old, born on 29 June 2003, has now won the honour in back-to-back seasons. Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard had previously claimed it twice.

After collecting the award, Bellingham said being chosen again by supporters meant a great deal to him and called it a fitting addition to England’s good memories from the summer.
