England beat Norway 2-1 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to book a place in the 2026 World Cup semi-finals.
Thomas Tuchel’s side controlled possession early on but struggled to turn it into chances, and Norway grew into the quarter-final as the first half wore on. Andreas Schjelderup put the Norwegians ahead in the 36th minute with a shot from the edge of the box.
England levelled in first-half stoppage time through Jude Bellingham, although Harry Kane had a goal ruled out moments later for offside.
Tuchel changed both wide areas at half-time, sending on Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze, but Norway threatened again after the break. A second Norwegian goal was disallowed in the 55th minute after VAR spotted a foul by Erling Haaland in the build-up.
Bellingham struck again in the 93rd minute, reacting fastest after Morgan Rogers forced a save from Orjan Nyland. England were also awarded and then denied a penalty in the 99th minute after a review. Saka and Djed Spence both went close in extra time, but Nyland kept Norway in it until the end.
